The Challenge:

Snelling’s growth was slowing as old processes and underutilized technologies made recruiters and salespeople inefficient.

According to Chelsea Johnson, Snelling’s Marketing Coordinator, the challenges faced by the company were two-fold.

“We wanted to simplify our recruiter's workflow, and refocus non-revenue generating tasks to make our recruiter’s job more efficient.” She offers up an example, where the firm’s applicant tracking system didn’t offer everything that Snelling were hoping for.

“Our ATS didn't have the functionality we were needing for status changes. Our data was misrepresented, our searching abilities became difficult, and we were not providing the efficiency we had promised our clients and candidates.”

The intent to refocus non-revenue generating tasks soon saw another opportunity identified. Snelling was well aware of the potential of email automation, and felt as though the technology could kill two birds with one stone – increasing both internal efficiency and the bottom line. Johnson saw the potential of automation to turn a four hour process into something instantaneous.

“We would have to download a list from our ATS system, upload that list into our email system, and then wait for that list to be approved before moving forward. We wanted the ability to tap into email automation and all of the positive outcomes that come from it – increased business, increase in the amount of touches with candidates, feedback and testimonials from surveys.”

The Future:

Spurred on by their early successes, Snelling are looking at other ways Herefish automation can drive the organization forward

Having become more and more familiar with Herefish in recent months, Johnson now sees that the tool not only has the ability to solve those challenges initially outlined by her and her company, but many others that the firm hadn’t yet considered.

“We're still fairly new to Herefish, so we've barely tapped into some of the awesome things it can offer our business. In the future we want to gear Herefish towards more sales email automation blasts, to create a streamlined process for all of our recruiters to follow, and to create a robust referral and reputation management system.”
